WIN x Sculpted by Aimee Makeup Masterclass

On the evening of the 17th of July, over 40 Irish women from across the South East of England gathered for an exclusive makeup masterclass hosted by the Women’s Irish Network in collaboration with the award-winning Irish beauty brand, Sculpted by Aimee. The event was a wonderful celebration of community, beauty and confidence, designed to help women of all ages master makeup techniques suited to their lifestyle and skin type.

WIN members and guests were greeted with glasses of pink prosecco and delicious chocolates. WIN Chair Yvonne Maher and Marketing Lead Sinead Dineen welcomed attendees with heartfelt speeches. They shared the inspiring story behind Sculpted by Aimee’s rise as a beauty empire, highlighting founder Aimee Connolly’s mission to simplify makeup routines without sacrificing quality or natural beauty.

Yvonne and Sinead explained the board’s motivation for organising this event which was a shared feeling of confusion over the overwhelming beauty market and a desire to offer practical, expert guidance on adapting makeup routines as our skin changes with time. It was a perfect example of how WIN is committed to providing meaningful, valuable experiences tailored to our community.

Expert Makeup Demonstration by Alannah and Nicola

The highlight of the evening was a live makeup demonstration by Sculpted by Aimee’s talented professional make-up artists, Alannah Doherty and Nicola McAleenan. Using Nicola as a model, Alannah walked guests through every essential step, from skin preparation and selecting the ideal base for different skin types and lifestyles, to applying bronzer, blush, and eye makeup.

The session was very interactive, with attendees asking questions throughout. Topics ranged from how to effectively use eyelash curlers, to which products are absolute must-haves for quick five-minute makeup routines perfect for busy mornings balancing work and school runs. Alannah also shared valuable tips on concealer and foundation application for mature skin, addressing concerns many women face as their skin evolves.

Tailored Beauty Advice

After the group demo, guests had the opportunity for personalised consultations with the makeup artists. Alannah and Nicola provided expert advice on colour matching and recommended products and palettes suited to individual skin tones and eye colours. This personal touch helped attendees feel confident they had the tools and knowledge to recreate their new looks at home, perfectly suited to their unique features.
