Celebrating the Britain U15 Camogie Team at Féile 2025

A Proud Moment for the Women’s Irish Network

At the Women’s Irish Network, we are passionate about empowering young women and supporting opportunities that foster confidence, teamwork, and resilience. That’s why we were honoured to sponsor the Britain U15 Camogie team at this year’s Féile na nGael tournament in Wexford — an unforgettable weekend that showcased incredible talent, dedication, and heart.

Supporting the Next Generation of Camogie Stars

Camogie is more than a sport — it’s a tradition, a community, and a celebration of Irish culture and spirit. Watching the Britain U15 squad, made up of girls from just four clubs across Britain, take to the fields against strong Irish teams was inspiring. These young athletes showed not only skill but immense determination, quickly adapting to the intensity of 15-a-side Camogie despite having trained together for only a few months.

Highlights from an Amazing Journey

The team’s journey began with excitement and a sense of adventure, arriving in Dublin amid travel challenges but ready to embrace the experience. From cultural tours and ice cream stops in the city to joining in the opening dances at Celtic Nights, these young players embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie on and off the pitch.

On game day, under the expert guidance of Bainisteoir Geraldine Spencer and the dedicated coaching team, the girls fought fiercely against teams from Meath, Wexford, Carlow, and Kerry. They displayed resilience in every match, winning praise from opposing coaches and leaving the tournament with their heads held high, regardless of the final results.

Why We Invest in Girls’ and Women’s Sport

We believe in the power of sport to shape lives. Sponsoring this team was not just about supporting a tournament; it was about investing in confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships for these young women.

We know that opportunities like these help break down barriers and create pathways for girls to continue in sport and life, building communities that empower each other. Féile 2025 was a testament to what can be achieved when young people are given the right support and encouragement.

Looking Ahead with Pride

Yvonne Maher, Chair of the Women’s Irish Network, reflects on the experience:

“Supporting the Britain U15 Camogie team at Féile 2025 has been a true privilege. These young women showed incredible spirit, determination, and heart — qualities that will serve them well both on and off the pitch. At the Women’s Irish Network, we are committed to championing opportunities that help girls thrive, and this tournament perfectly exemplifies the positive impact of sport in building confidence and community.”

We are incredibly proud of the Britain U15 Camogie team for their remarkable achievements and the spirit they brought to Féile. Their journey is just beginning, and we look forward to supporting their growth and success in the years ahead.

Thank you to everyone involved — the players, coaches, families, and organisers — for making this experience possible. Together, we are helping build a stronger, more inclusive future for women in sport.
