A Night to Remember: WIN’s Final 2025 Event
Mban - GO RAIBH MAITH AGAT!
Last night, under the lashing of rain, we closed out our 2025 calendar with a truly special evening at Prosecco House in Tower Bridge. And what a night it was! Despite the weather, over 100 incredible Irish women showed up in full force—umbrellas, raincoats, and all—to celebrate connection, heritage, and healing.
A Gathering of Strength and Spirit
As guests mingled over bubbly and bites, the atmosphere quickly transformed into something far more than just another end-of-year event. The room buzzed with conversation, laughter, and a palpable sense of Irish sisterhood. It was a reminder of just how powerful it is to be surrounded by like-minded women—especially when connected by shared roots and a sense of cultural pride.
Our speaker, the inspiring Helena Boland, captivated the audience with a deeply personal and transformative talk. Helena took us through her journey of recovery from ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), sharing not only her physical healing process but also her emotional and spiritual one.
From her introduction to shamanic practices and breathwork, to the ways in which she learned to listen to her body and spirit, Helena spoke candidly about what it meant to reclaim her health—and how that journey led her to rediscover the power of ancient Irish traditions.
Samhain, Rituals & the Role of Women
One of the evening’s most powerful moments was Helena’s exploration of Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. She reminded us of the significance of this time of year—not just as a celebration of our ancestors and the unseen, but as a moment of reflection, release, and renewal.
Helena emphasised the importance of preserving our Celtic and pagan traditions, especially as Irish women living away from home. She spoke about the role women have always played in ritual and community care, and how now more than ever, we must remain stewards of those ancestral practices—both for ourselves and the generations to come.
Her words struck a chord. It was more than a talk; it was a spiritual invitation—a moment of collective remembering.
Community & Looking Ahead
Of course, no WIN event would be complete without some indulgence—and Prosecco House delivered in style. With plenty of fizz and delicious finger food on offer, the conversations continued late into the night, with new friendships formed and old ones rekindled.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out in the rain, and to the entire WIN team who brought the event to life. Your dedication, heart, and hard work made it all possible.
What’s Next for WIN in 2026?
We’re already looking ahead with excitement to the New Year - Athbhliain. In January, we plan to host a breakfast talk to kick things off. Then on February 5th, we’ll be hosting a special private dinner to celebrate St. Brigid’s Day, Lá Fhéile Bríde—a date deeply significant in the Irish calendar, and one we’re especially eager to honour with you.
Stay tuned for more announcements and registration details coming soon.
Until Next Time...
As the year draws to a close, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your continued support, presence, and spirit are what make WIN so meaningful. Whether you’ve been with us for years or just joined recently, you’re a vital part of this growing, empowering network.
