Minister Neale Richmond announces £6.5 million to support the Irish in Britain.
We were truly honoured to attend the Emigrant Support Programme (ESP) Reception at the Embassy of Ireland, Great Britain.
Chair Yvonne Maher with Deirdre Fraser
This was a special opportunity to thank the Embassy for its ongoing support and funding — and to reinforce WIN’s mission of building connection, collaboration, and community among Irish women in London. 💚It was also wonderful to meet and network with so many other Irish organisations from across the UK. We had some great conversations, shared insights, and a chance to strengthen links across the wider Irish community in the UK.
We were inspired by Minister Neale Richmond reflections on the impact of Irish organisations abroad and their significant contribution to Ireland’s global relationships.
He spoke about the diversity of the Irish community overseas, and how looking out for each other remains at the heart of Irish identity.
“Every individual brings a different passion and story — together, we keep Irishness alive wherever we go.”
This year, the Emigrant Support Programme has provided £6.5 million (€7.6 million) in funding to Irish organisations around the world — a testament to Ireland’s continued commitment to its global community.
A heartfelt thank you to the Embassy of Ireland in London for their support and partnership, and to everyone working to strengthen the bonds of our community here in the UK.
